I have been licensed since 1988 and always have been interested in DXing and contesting (and to some point in collecting awards). I also like homebuilding equipment, experimenting with antennas and I'm very interested in Software Defined Radio. I'm mainly an HF person, active in most modes (SSB, CW, digital). I don't have any prejudices and I like to try everything new.
In May 2014 I finally got a QSL card for my contact with VK0MM in 2000, so I'm now with OE6CLD on top of the Honor Roll with 349/340 confirmed.
From 2008 to 2017, I was mainly active from Ireland under the call sign EI7JZ (312 countries worked); from 2018 to 2026, I was active from Germany under the call sign DJ0DX (265 countries worked with 5W and small antennas). Starting in 2027, I’ll finally be back in Austria and will be active again mainly under my call sign OE6CLD.
