Tips & Tricks

What serves as the reference Log for coloring DX-Spots?

EasyLog supports managing up to 5 Logs at the same time. If only one Log is installed, it will automatically serve as the reference Log. However, with multiple Logs installed, you must specify which Log the DX-Cluster should use to correctly color the DX-Spots according to the award status of that Log.

To select the Reference Log for the DX-Cluster, use the DXSpot Filters button located to the right of the Cluster section.

Selezione Log di default per il DX Cluster

In the Filters window, select the reference Log.

Selezione Log di default per il DX Cluster

The Log numbering corresponds to the order of the Log tabs. If you’re using the reduced view (hiding unused tabs), check the box next to it to reveal all tabs and determine the relative position of the open Logs.

How can I verify the status of my support?

Check your support status in the Reserved Area menu on EasyLog and renew it effortlessly if it has expired.

Remember to update your email using the dedicated button in the Reserved Area menu on EasyLog.

How can I disconnect a QSO from the award situation?

If you have a station in the Log, like SV1GA/A, which is not yet valid for the DXCC, you can temporarily exclude the QSO from the award scoring while awaiting its validation status.

To do so, simply use the Detach awards option from the context menu by right-clicking on a QSO and selecting the option as illustrated in the figure

Numerazione Log

The QSO will be detached from the awards, removed from the DXCC award and other awards, and the awards panel in the top left will turn 'white'. The reverse operation is to use the Attach awards option from the same menu.

Readers' Testimonials

"This evening I read the guide on FT8 and FT4 that I purchased for 10 euros. Although I have been using this technology for a long time, I must say that the manual is really well done and absolutely essential for beginners: clear, comprehensive, and capable of explaining all the fundamental aspects.

Even for those, like me, who already have experience, it still offers some interesting technical insights, with small useful tips to verify and explore further. Overall, I believe the 10 euros were well spent. The only suggestion I feel like giving would be to expand the section related to spectrum configuration and perhaps integrate information on emerging new software, especially those used in expeditions.

A guide I truly recommend to anyone interested in these digital modes!

User Testimonials

"Perhaps not everyone knows that the Easylog Team is a sponsor of the IY4FGM Marconi commemorative station that broadcasts from Villa Griffone, and the station's log is managed through Easylog. As the QSL manager of the station, I have been using it for many years to respond to the QSLs requested from us worldwide. Thanks again to Pietro Paolo and his Team.

The first article discusses hamspirit and the mutual respect he shares with Siso, whom he describes as a true gentleman, a sentiment we wholeheartedly agree with:

This second article discusses the correct use of the dx-cluster, a must-read piece:

✅ We received this message trough the EasyLog English Customer Care facebook group from our user Charlie Carpenter, K4SHA. We publish with pleasure:

Thank you Charlie for sharing your picture!

K4SHA

"Have been a Ham since 1977. Spent 10 years in Japan working for the U. S. Army, It 's a 4 year assignment, I went for a few extra years. As an FCC license operator I applied to the U.S Air Force for an AMRS license. It was approved and I became KA2CC. And that is not an American call sign! But is sure does fool other Hams. The KA prefix is a very old prefix assigned to the Pacific Islands. I was also able to travel to Minami Torishima several times and operated several times for there as KA2CC/JD1.

Now living in Alabama. Call sign K4SHA, or K4Sweet Home Alabama. Will add more as time passes.
