Check and Manager Update

A new update of the CHECK (country recognition engine) has just been released and will be sent directly to EasyLog and the Manager archive available in the Reserved Area.

How to configure the new Alert window

In the main window of EasyLog, click the yellow button in the Cluster section as depicted below:

The window shows the Alerts that have been set and lets you add new ones or delete expired ones. Clicking the Add button will open the DX-Alert entry window.

You can choose how the Alert window is displayed: 1) By name (the window appears when the specific name is on-air and detected on the DX-Cluster 2) by DXCC country, the Alert window shows up when a particular DXCC country is active. 3) by content in the notes field of the DX-Spot.

The spots include various information, like the method used, the IOTA reference, diploma identifiers, or contest names. This lets you receive an Alert window notification when particular cross-DX-Spots are shared on the DX-Cluster.

The Alert Window can also be activated for specific types of Spots such as absolute or band NewOne. Each Alert can refer to a specific band or mode and can have a date validity range. This is useful for expeditions, for example, in such cases after the expiration date of the Alert it will be automatically deactivated. You can insert all the Alerts you want so as not to miss important expeditions or that specific country you have been looking for a long time.

The IARU HF World Championship is an international CW and SSB contest that takes place over the weekend of July 13-14. Thousands of amateur radio operators compete on the HF bands, with a particular focus on contacts with HQ stations, which represent national associations. The event celebrates international cooperation among amateur radio operators and activity on shortwave bands.
