We have just completed several 'under the hood' works preparatory for important upcoming innovations, such as the new DXCC diploma section and we will add the missing flags of the deleted countries thanks to the meticulous work done by Max, IW3ILM. Tips & Tricks

LoTW indication of last update

If you use LoTW for electronic confirmations of DXCC and other supported awards, it is important to know if a station is registered and its confirmation habits.

EasyLog delivers this information automatically and in real-time both in FT8-Running (figure 1), and on the DX-Cluster (figure 2 and figure 3) by retrieving and cross-referencing it with the official ARRL data of LoTW service subscribers.

The FT8-Running and The DX-Cluster panels add a coloration that provides visual feedback on the update frequency of your correspondent. Green: very frequent, yellow: frequent, red: very rare (specifying in parentheses the number of days since the last upload).

Information about the correspondent's upload habits can be particularly useful if there are expectations of a quick confirmation, which is the primary reason that drives us to use the LoTW service.

If the correspondent seldom uploads their QSOs to LoTW, the QSO may not be confirmed promptly or might not be confirmed at all.

There can be various reasons why a correspondent does not frequently update their QSOs on LoTW, excluding those who do it on purpose because they expect a payment (DX-Pedition or rare stations) often correspondents who do not use fully automated software like EasyLog have to perform the upload manually: exporting the QSOs in an ADIF file and manually uploading it on the ARRL website. Clearly, this can significantly slow down their uploads, perhaps deciding to upload once a month or occasionally. 

EasyLog, depending on your preferences,  can upload to LoTW every QSO in real-time as soon as you log it. This greatly increases the chances of a quick confirmation. Your QSOs will be on the LoTW platform in a few seconds waiting for your correspondent to do the same.
