Hello everyone,
This week, I decided to do something different and share some discoveries I made online about famous radio amateurs. You might already know them, but I was impressed with the names I found. I realize there are many more, and I apologize for not including all of them. Tips & Tricks
This month's Tips & Tricks focuses on the Print Section. This feature lets you extract Log QSOs that meet specific conditions, useful for creating reports or exporting parts of your Log in ADIF.
Click the Print button on the bottom buttons bar of the main screen to access the Print section, as shown in the picture below:
Click the Copy button now to open a new dialog box. From the dropdown lists, select the fields to include in the condition, specify the condition itself, and enter the data in the last column on the right. Refer to figure 2 below:
In figure 2, we establish a sample condition to extract all QSO in FT8 mode since 01/01/2024
Click the Copy button and wait for the data be extracted from the Log. All the QSO that will match the condition will be copied.
After extracting the data, you can print a report using the Print button and choose which fields to include or exclude with the Fields button. Additionally, if you want to export the QSOs to an ADIF file, simply click the >Adif button.
This feature is highly powerful and versatile, enabling the inclusion of all fields with various conditions. Please note that you can add up to 8 fields, each with its own condition.
Note that each line represents a condition, and multiple conditions are combined with AND. All conditions must be met for a QSO to be copied.
To apply multiple conditions with OR, simply repeat different Copy. The data will be included in the search results.
If you want to apply conditions that are in between then you can do it in two rows. using the same field, i.e:
DATE >= 01/01/2024
DATE <= 12/31/2024
