A message from the founders
Dear Readers,
As we celebrate the release of the 23rd edition of our newsletter, we want to thank you for being part of this journey.
EasyLog is more than a tool: it is a connection, a shared quest for excellence in the field of amateur radio.
Your feedback shapes every step we take, and we are always eager to hear your ideas. Together, we continue to innovate, simplify, and empower this passion we all share.
Let’s keep pushing boundaries and inspiring each other.
Best regards,
Piero and Franco Pirrone

This week we have two quotes from Canadian astronaut and radio amateur Chris Hadfield (VA3OOG). As we all know, he was actively engaged with the amateur radio community, particularly during his time aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
Hadfield shared insights that resonate with the amateur radio spirit. In his book An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth, he emphasizes the importance of preparation and adaptability:
"Anticipating problems and understanding how to solve them is actually the opposite of concern: it's productive."
In addition, Hadfield's reflections on communication and connection are relevant:
"There's an inherent pleasure in sharing something you've learned with someone else."

Print the list of countries worked not yet confirmed
EasyLog is equipped with many reporting features for diplomas and Log, very useful for the progress of your scores.
This week we will explore how to find out which DXCC countries have been worked on but not yet confirmed in order to try to obtain confirmation, for example by resending the QSL, or changing the sending mode, trying in LoTW for example or to send a courtesy QSL by email, or even finding out if the station has a manager.
First we print the list of processed DXCC countries not yet confirmed. Open the diplomas section (figure 1) and select the DXCC in Mixed mode (1.) and finally click on the Prints menu (2).
From the menu, choose Diploma Prints and then Unconfirmed Works. After a few seconds, the report will appear (see figure 3) that will list the unconfirmed countries worked.
The text can be enlarged by clicking on the icon (2.) and printed by clicking on the printer icon (1.)
How to find out the list of processed but not yet confirmed QSOs of a country
Click on the Force button (1.), the cursor will change shape, position yourself on the worked country (presence of the asterisk * red 2.) window will open 3. which will list all the QSOs carried out of that country. By clicking on the button >> QSL Buffer (4.) the QSOs can be copied to the QSL Buffer.
Once copied to the QSL Buffer, you will have several options available:
Send or resend the paper QSL via bureau, or to any manager or directly
Send the confirmation via LoTW
Send a courtesy QSL by email

Use the GrayLine to make facilitated DX communications
Because GrayLine facilitates DX communications
Along the GrayLine, there is a unique balance between ionization and absorption. The residual ionization levels are sufficient to support the reflection of radio waves, but without the excessive absorption of the typical D-Layer of the day. Click on the GrayLine button at the bottom, near the Running button. The GrayLine window shows the day night line in real time.
This creates a sort of "privileged channel" for wave propagation (especially in HF bands) allowing DX links to be established often with stronger and more stable signals.
How to use the GrayLine window of EasyLog
Click on the GrayLine button at the bottom, (near the Running button). The GrayLine window shows the day night line in real time.
The GrayLine can be displayed on the Cartesian projection or on the spherical projection of the earth.
By removing the check mark on the automatic update, you can move the two date and time sliders to find out for any country the time of the passage of the GrayLine.
In this way you can prepare yourself to try to work a particularly difficult country from your QTH or with your antenna and power conditions. For those like us who love the challenge of using low power or QRP, the use of the GrayLine is an expedient to make otherwise particularly difficult connections.

I’ve always believed that dedication and passion are what set great developers apart, and the team behind EasyLog exemplifies this to perfection. Their work is not a job; it’s clearly a craft they take immense pride in. What truly impresses me is how much they give of themselves—going beyond the boundaries of daily life to ensure every detail is meticulously addressed.
It’s rare to encounter such a blend of precision and care, where the goal is not just functionality but also delighting the customer. The attention to detail is remarkable, almost as if they’re crafting something personal rather than professional. They listen, they adapt, and they innovate—all with the customer’s experience at the forefront.
I find myself admiring not only their technical skill but also the spirit with which they approach their work. They want to please, not out of obligation, but because they genuinely care about the community they’re supporting.
It’s this commitment that makes EasyLog so much more than just a tool; it’s a testimony to the hard work and dedication of a team that truly understands its customers.
With admiration, Lynn
