A Note from the Founders

📡 Dear Readers,

What began as a simple idea—exchanging insights, tools, and stories from the EasyLog community—has evolved into a weekly tradition.

For 36 years, we have been with you and for you. Not just behind the software, but also behind a microphone, listening and learning as we grow together.

This year alone, we have rolled out ten new updates and are currently working on new features and innovations. Every day, and even on weekends, holidays, and late nights, we code and connect with you, driven by passion. Because, like you, we believe in the power of perseverance.

You know that kind of perseverance well, the kind that urges you to achieve an impossible QSO, tweak the antenna, and wait for the moment the signal breaks through the noise. This same passion fuels us in developing EasyLog and striving to stay at the forefront.

To all who support us: thank you.

Here's to the next 52 editions.

And as always, Good DX!

IK1TZO Pietro and IW1DGL Franco

There is no silence that lasts forever: those who truly listen will always find a hidden signal among the noises.

The new release is still in progress. With the help of user contributions and our thorough research, many countries will now have their flags added. New enhancements have been made to the DX-Alert window, and more detailed LoTW information is now displayed in the DX-Cluster. We're also developing some innovations that will be introduced shortly after the new release is launched, which, thanks to these new features, is scheduled for release next week.

The Panel Cluster and the order for DXCC

 Panel Cluster e DXCC order

A distinctive feature of the Panel Cluster mode of EasyLog is its ability to sort by DXCC, making it an excellent tool for spotting DX opportunities.

As illustrated in the figure above, choosing to sort by DXCC displays the most relevant DX-Spots for your specific DXCC situation prominently with the rest following based on DXCC significance. This makes it simple to monitor the situation at a glance due to the grouping of spots from the same DX station, allowing you to quickly spot a DX opportunity without scrolling through numerous DX Spots.

From Our Community

Here are two more episodes of the travel notes by Massimo, IK1GPG with his better half IK1QFM, on a trip through our wonderful hills of the Langhe, in Piedmont. This enchanting corner of Italy, famous for its breathtaking landscapes and its rich wine tradition, has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its beauty and cultural value.

We invite you to share your travel and vacation notes to tell a piece of your area.

Day 3 - Thursday

12/06/2025

At 14:35, we depart from Via Torino in Mondovì, travel through the industrial zone, and follow Via Tanaro and then via Otteria towards Briaglia (in 2024, the fourth wealthiest municipality in Italy). We go through the town, continuing to Niella Tanaro, and near the CALSO aqueduct at San Teobaldo, close to the Valmorei hamlet, we make a required stop at giant bench no.54 (also called Big Bench). It's painted yellow and blue and belongs to the Big Bench Community Project. We discover some markers detailing the site's history and pick up a brochure authored by Andrea Maia (a classical literature graduate and former Italian and Latin professor at the "Alfieri" Classical High School in Turin), who remains a distant relative and revised it last winter. The break extends longer than anticipated, with the temperature at 32 degrees.

Big Bench N.54

We decided to visit a cooler place to combat dehydration. We headed to Maie, passed San Grato, and arrived in Vicoforte on Via delle Acque where a historic ice cream parlor is located, renowned in Monregalese for its elegant service and exquisite treats. A spacious outdoor summer area is nestled in greenery. Free sulfurous and magnesic mineral springs are accessible to everyone. Our second stop was even longer than the first, so we chose to go back home. We took Via delle Cappelle, crossed Mondovì square, and paused at the ARI Section venue. At precisely 5:00 PM, after traveling 33km, we completed our journey!
Photos will follow to remember this wonderful afternoon.
See you tomorrow, possibly.... Massimo and Betty

Day 4 – Friday

06/13/2025

In the morning, prepared the support for mounting the Garmin Nuvi 200 navigator specifically on the Transalp and renewed the insurance policy for our Honda XL750 Urban. Ready to depart in the early afternoon … but … unfortunately due to excessive temperature and the thunderstorms looming from the mountain side, we decided to rest!

Until the next story,

Max and Betty

"Commander, the planet is ideal, but these unusual messages are confusing; should I command the attack?"

"Hmm, I'm still unsure, let's move on to the next planet..."

This explains why our editor Line prefers not to visit us in the summer... 😁
